• Food and nutrition history will be discussed, evaluation of
food journals and other information gathering tools.
  • We will spend time gathering information on lifestyle
issues such as career, energy levels, exercise, medical
conditions and other health concerns within you and your
    family.
  • We will discuss food knowledge and cooking capabilities;
creative and fun questionnaires on food preferences will
    be used.
  • An open dialogue on the obstacles to change, willingness
for change, coping with challenges and discovering the
    best options for success.
  • Together we will come up with a clear and concise
individualized plan to take you through to our next meeting.
  • An in-depth discussion on culinary and food
knowledge will take place while I gather information on
family meals, snacks, food likes and dislikes, and who
is in charge of the kitchen.
  • I will look through your cabinets and pantry, evaluate
your cooking utensils and equipment, discuss pantry
lists, any kitchen equipment you might need, meal
planning and resources and where to buy the best
    ingredients.
  • Now that you have learned that healthier food choices
are easier to make when a pantry is stocked with the
most nutritious foods and proper equipment, we will
    put this talk into practice.
  • Learn how to read a food label and quickly evaluate
what is in a food and if it is a healthy choice or not.
  • Learn about new, healthful foods and make a detailed
    shopping list for your pantry.
  • Get educated on local, organic, sustainable, natural
and whole foods - what they are and why they might be
important for you and your family.
